In 1995, knowing the popular demand for indoor tanning, Carolina Women's Fitness opened her doors offering tanning as an extra service to our members and to the general public.  Our tanning business has grown so much; we have given this feature its own name, "Palms Tanning Salon."  We have even added a sunless spray system, which has also been a huge success. 

The American Sun equipment sales team has been very helpful and informative in our bed selections.  They are only a phone call away with their customer service.  We have had technical difficulties solved over the phone.  How great is that?
 
Our lotion representative keeps us well informed on all the new products, any special sales, and any upcoming seminars she thinks we might be interested in attending.  We have a great business relationship with a wonderful personal touch that we have only found with the American Sun staff.

In October 2004, we opened our first tanning salon. American Sun Systems is not just a distributor, they’re our team mates. Recently, they took time out to visit our salons and get to know the Island Tan family on a personal level. We opened our salon in May 1997, ordering four beds and one stand-up unit from another company. They shipped all by truck and the rest was up to us. We struggled blindly to put the beds together and get them hooked up correctly. Three years later, we received a catalog from American Sun Systems and placed our first lotion order with them. Our rep is always cheerful and full of knowledge about the best lotions, bulbs and rebates! That same year, we bought our first Sundash bed from American Sun. What a difference! They delivered and set-up the bed and made sure everything was up-andrunning. Since then, we’ve replaced our four old beds with four of their new ones.
